Blood. Sometimes it sets my teeth on edge - A Critique on the first season of Dexter

"Dexter" Season 1
What a great show. The premise is brilliant! Jeff Lindsay, thank you for your great book which sparked the series. Seriously, who comes up with a serial killer killing serial killer? (Yes, you read right). The show is centered on Dexter who is “empty” and feels an unquenchable need to kill. He tries to fill this void by killing people he believes deserves it: other serial killers. But by day, he’s a blood spatter analyst with the Miami P.D. He acts like a caring brother to his sister Debra, a loving boyfriend to Rita, and a good cop to his coworkers, none of who know his true nature. Over the course of the first season, a murderer finds out his secret and Dexter has to work hard to catch the mysterious Ice Truck Killer and keep his bloody hobby a secret. Full of intrigue, character development, reminiscent flashbacks, and suspense, the first season is truly captivating and addictive. Too bad it was only 12 episodes. Though, truly, that was the beauty of it. Because since it was so short, every episode mattered to the overall story of the season. Absolutely all of them. From the first episode, with the introduction of Dexter and his life, we’re shown the first two brutal kills of the Ice Truck Killer, to the seventh episode in which Dexter mainly faces other personal problems and tries to stay on track while looking for the Ice Truck Killer, to the final episode with the final confrontation between the two serial killers.

As the show goes on, the minor characters are developed as well. Debra, Rita, Sgt. Doakes, and Angel all have their respective problems. Debra tries to further her career by catching the Ice Truck Killer, though she mostly tends to get into Dexter’s way. Rita’s abusive ex-husband shows up and threatens Dexter. Sgt. Doakes, Dexter’s boss, burdened with his intuitive sense of Dexter’s true self, tries to find evidence to support his suspicion. All of these problems, along with Dexter’s nighttime hobby, make his life pretty damn difficult. And all of these problems, along with Dexter’s nighttime hobby, are the reasons why we keep coming back every week.

The show does have its faults, and the main one is its redundancy. The identity of the Ice Truck Killer is revealed dramatically and perfectly at the end of the eighth episode, yet, the writers decided to dramatically reveal it several more times throughout the remaining episodes. By Episode 10, I was ready to scream “I know it’s him! Get on with the SHOW!” If there was any doubt about who it was, there was none by the end of episode 10. Of course, there was no doubt after episode 8, so the rest was just useless.

So plot-wise, that’s how I feel. Great story, but a little redundant.

But Acting-wise? That’s even better. You see, there’s this voice over, Dexter’s voice shares his thoughts, and things make a little more sense. In the first episode, as Dexter sees the first victim of the Ice Truck Killer, his inner monologue lets the watcher know that he’s intrigued. But Michael C. Hall acts so wonderfully, that the words aren’t needed. He looks intrigued, but reserved, because he’s trying not to show his interest to his coworkers. But that was the moment the show had me captured: Dexter’s reaction to the body. Hall is the most amazing part of this show. Every moment, every action, you truly believe he is this Serial Killer Killing Serial Killer. You truly believe he is dark and damaged and tragic. And that is what sets this show apart.

*Waits not-so-patiently for Season 2 to come out on DVD*

Coming soon: a critique of Season 1 of “Six Feet Under” because I just can’t get enough of Michael C. Hall.

Migraines == Death

I don’t think I’ve ever understood the term “Splitting Headache” before this past year. Because lately, when I get my migraines, I feels like my head literally is split open. There’s a sharp line starting at my right ear, and cutting up and over my head to my left ear. It’s killer. It’s all I can think about, which is why I’m blogging about it and not working.

Sometimes, when I’m wearing my hat, it’s not as bad. I know it’s still there, but my hat contains it. As in, my head can’t open up that widely, because there’s a hat keeping it in place. And that must be psychological, but it’s what I feel.

But why do these bursts of headaches come in bursts? For two weeks straight, I’m in constant pain, with my head literally splitting open (unless I’m wearing my hat), and then for two months, I’m completely fine! I think 1 headache every two weeks would be fine, I could live with that. But it’s hard to live with two weeks of constant pressure on (in? around?) your head.

Gang 104 - A Critical Analysis of a few Books and My Subconsious

I decided that if I'm ever in a band, it'll most definitely be called Gang 104, as in Ivan Denisovich's gang from One Day in the Life of Ivan Denisovich because that book effing rocks. So very much. I don't even know why I love it so much, but once I start reading it, I can't put it down.

Which was what it was like for the Original Foundation Series, by Isaac Asimov. I read those three books in about a week, collectively, and loved every moment of it. But now, reading the sequels and the prequels, I just can't get into them. I love Asimov's style - for the sequels at least, prequels, not so much - but I just can't seem to get into the story as much as I did last summer.

This leads me to beleive that there is some drastic change between last summer and this summer. Granted, I was in Ottawa. But my locale shouldn't affect my taste or intrest in books. So that lead me to the conclusion that it was my friends. I had 1 friend in Ottawa. Plenty of aquaintances, but just the one really good friend. I went out on the weekends, but mostly stayed home during the week. Where as this summer, I'm out almost every single day. In May, I had some form of social gathering planned for every single day. Not one day off. June, on the other hand, is less populated with social events, which is good because I do want to read some things this summer. (See list 2 posts ago). But who knows what will crop up? It's still early in June.

But the most intriguing thing about this revelation of mine is: I can't decide which I like better? I Love going out and being a social butterfly and drinking and being merry. But I also love curling up in bed reading a good book. Or curling up on the couch with a bowl of popcorn and a good movie. Anything with curling up, really.

So for next summer, because I don't think this one will let up socially, I'm going to try to even it out a bit. Go out on weekends, for sure, and sparcely during the week. Read a whole lot, yet don't push it too much.

Oh and I should mention, The job I got at MTS is boring as hell... I'm going to try to summarize my thoughts later on. But it's a good experience, I keep telling myself. And I hope I'm right, because I can't see how I am the way things are going now. And the money is terrific.

Anyways, to end, like every good post of mine, I leave a random list of countdowns:

1 day until I get paid again

9 days until my Dad's Birthday

10 days until Matt Good

15 days until Stars

16 days until I get to watch Doctor Who (finally!)

19 days until Summer School Starts

21 days until Countryfest

45 days until My brother's Birthday

57 days until Coldplay

58 days until Montreal!

59 days until The Killers!

62 days until Radiohead

65 days until my Exam

87 days until Work ends

104 days until Heroes Season 3!

130 days until my sister's wedding!

A Futile Job Search

I didn`t get the IBM scholarship. On the bright side, I didn`t lose anything, because I never had it to begin with, so it`s not all that bad, but this means I have to go find a job on my own. And I DON'T want a job with kids. I deal with kids enough what with my saturday day camp job and teaching sunday school and all. So I'm applying. Well, I'm procrastinating from applying... same thing, right? Oh, and I think I'll apply at Tony Roma's too, just for kicks, because I miss working in a retaurant (wow I never thought I'd say that!).

AND my mother is on my case about applying for jobs. She's not showing any signs of stopping soon. It probably won't stop until I actually get a job. Which is going to be in a while now. I'm very tired of it.

In other news? Well there's school. Doing well, though I need to do Statistics. And actually learn it... Math is fine, Comp Sci is more than fine, And Thermals, well I just got 90% on my second midterm, so I think I'm more than fine there too. 2 more assignments to go, then 4 exams, then I'm free!

In Heroes news: I have 6 people left to convert. I'm very happy at the results I've been getting so far. And it's scheduled to come back September 7th! or 8th!

In other procrastination news, there's only 1 episode left of Torchwood's second series. Which I'm really sad about. What am I going to do on Wednesday nights? Sleep? But Doctor Who is coming back the day after Torchwood's done, so I don't really have to worry about not having a procrastination aid.

Random List of Countdowns:

1 day until my Stats assignment is due

4 days until 'Exit Wounds', the new Torchwood is aired

5 days until the beginning of Doctor Who Series 4

11 days until my Comp Sci Assignment is Due

16 days until my Stats Exam

18 days until my Comp Sci Exam

19 days until my Thermals Exam

21 days until my Math Exam

33 days until I leave for Orlando

63 days until Summer School Starts

170 days until Heroes Volume 3 starts!

Rebellion in the Form of Procrastination - a Critique on the Completed Series' in the Whoniverse

That's right! it's that time again! Midterm Time! I've got my Thermodynamics Midterm in less than 20 hours, and what am I doing? I'm really not sure, All I know is it's not studying. That's for sure. And anyways, who studies before a test? Not me! I protest! I will not study! I've even used my browncoat icon in defiance of the Alliance (of teachers?)!

Anyways, onto what I have been doing for the past few weeks: Torchwood and Doctor Who. And I am going to review and compare them, in chronological order. Because this is going to be much more fun than studying.

Doctor Who Series 1, Christmas Special #1, & Series 2:(anything with Rose, pretty much)
Christopher Eccleston was a fantastic doctor. The on-screen chemistry he had with Rose was phenomenal. I loved the dynamics between them -- it wasn't love, not yet, until a little bit at the end -- and how he offered Mickey a chance to come travel with them, and how he let Rose bring along the twat who betrayed them on Satellite 5 (i can't be bothered to look up his name right now). The story lines were amazing, and never seemed rushed or full of filler. And the addition of Captain Jack Harkness at the end just made it all the better!

Onto series 2... David Tennant was amazing. I loved the new chemistry between Rose and the Doctor here too. (I dunno, maybe Billie Piper is just an amazing actress - I should watch her other show...) And this chemistry was more of the "In Love" type of chemistry, which really makes sense now, after the last Doctor sending Rose back home in the TARDIS to save her life and her coming back to help him no matter what it means for her. Again, the episode stories were well done - even when Mickey was there, though the Doctor didn't seem so eager to have him along, this time ;). My favourite episodes were The Impossible Planet and The Satan Pit. They were just so creepy and amazing. And the final episodes when the Doctor lost Rose was acted perfectly. And it was just so melancholic and perfect when the Doctor didn't get the chance to tell Rose he loved her. That is exactly his problem, he's never with someone long enough to love them, and when he does get the chance to properly fall in love, he doesn't even have a chance to tell her before she's gone. *tear*

But the real reason why these two seasons were so awesome? Continuity! Bad Wolf, the MAJOR plot device in series 1 appears in the second episode. And it appears frequently in the first series without being mentioned until episode 10. And it's referenced again at the end of series 2, when they're at Bad Wolf Bay. It really adds to the story, when you can go back and see different things the second time around.

And it's the same with series 2. Torchwood is mentioned in the Christmas special, created by Queen Victoria in episode 2, and referenced throughout various episodes in the series. Though this time it was a little more obvious than the previous series, it had mostly the same effect. Which was great!

Well Done on Series 1 and 2!

Torchwood Series 1:
I think I'll go into a little more detail here. This show has a lot more potential than what it's putting out there, in my opinion. It doesn't have the depth that Doctor Who does. Everything is a little superficial.

In episode 1 -- a great episode, btw -- everything is introduced perfectly. Torchwood is about Aliens, Weevils are real, Jack is immortal, Gwen is in over her head - Tosh and Owen and Ianto are brushed aside, but hey, there's only 44 mins per episode, we see more of them in episode 2. And when Jack says something to the effect of "There's more and more Weevil activity lately, we don't know why." I really expected that statement to play some kind of part in the rest of the series, but nothing happened with that.

But this is the real kicker, for me. In episode 11, Combat, Owen shows off a random, weird psychic connection with the Weevils. What the hell was that about?! and then NOTHING comes of it? Owen would've been an amazing Big Bad for them in series 1. But no, the writers forget they even wrote that in. Unless it was foreshadowing series 2 where Owen dies, and the weevils worship him... if that's the case, I have to say that it's the WORST FORESHADOWING EVER.

And the final two episodes? Well Captain Jack Harkness was an amazing episode. Acting was spot on, as was the writing. But introducing Billis Manger, in my opinion, was a mistake. Unless he hadn't been such a main character in that episode. Because we didn't get enough of him in the next episode. Since we already knew him, the writers didn't explain alot of the why in the episode. Or the how, either. Manger somehow gets all the team to turn on Jack, and doesn't try to brainwash Jack. Why not? I think it would have been much better to have attempted to go for Jack, at least once. And unlike Doctor Who, no leading up to this final story arc. Other than Billis Manger being in the penultimate episode, I don't think anything linked it to the rest of the series, plot-wise. It was a stand alone episode. But it did seem like they were trying too hard to draw from everything else. Manger made Ianto see Lisa, and Owen see Diane, and it seemed like cheap ways to provide something that resembled continuity, and use it to connect it to the rest of the series.
And the final bad guy? really? A giant really-badly-animated monster? Not really keeping it in the same tone as the rest of the series, this was too supernatural, not extraterrestrial.

The episodes I didn't mention were good. Kudos to Cyberwomen, Countrycide and They Keep Killing Suzie, my favourite episodes. Not that I didn't like the other episodes... I did, mostly.

Main point that separates Torchwood from Doctor Who: the sex, of course. Well not only the sex - more like the relationship between the characters. I liked the Gwen/Owen arc. And it ended well, in my opinion. And the Jack/Ianto was too subtle in my opinion - until the blatant Stopwatch proposition. But before that, I didn't even really see that before. I mean, I know Jack kissed Ianto in Cyberwomen, but I kinda just thought that was some kind of "kiss of life". And Tosh does not get enough love in general, seeing how she's pining after Owen, which is why Greeks Bearing Gifts is such a great episode, it really shows her in a different light.
I really do enjoy the interaction between the characters. It's great to see the relationships develop, and the people grow. Gwen is in over her head at the beginning of the series, and she's much more relaxed at the end, Owen is a player, but falls in love with Diane, and it kinda changes him, Ianto didn't do much at the beginning, but at the end he is much more than a teaboy or a part-time shag, as Owen had called him. We need more of Tosh in general (but that got fixed in series 2!).

And I don't mean to knock the show too much. I really do like it. But I think it has much more potential, and the writers need to kick it up a notch if they want to make it better.

Doctor Who Christmas Special # 2:
Okay, this wasn't bad. Very Stand Alone, which was fine, because it was a special. And it had alot of the Doctor missing Rose, which was good for me, because I watched it almost immediately after the last episode of series 2, and I was super sad she was gone. Donna Noble wasn't my favourite person, and by that I mean I don't think we'd be friends if she was real. But as a character, she was great! She was just what the Doctor needed. I don't have much to say about this episode. It was good.

But one thing I must say. At the end of the special, when Donna asks the Doctor what the name of the girl he lost was, and he replied "Her name was Rose," in this beautifully sad voice, I nearly started crying. David Tennant was perfect in this moment. He looked like he was about to cry. I really just wanted to give him a hug and tell him that I knew Billie Piper was coming back for series four and not to worry. It was a wonderful scene.

Doctor Who Series 3:
Again, I'll have to say, I really like David Tennant. Also, I think he's really sexy. And if ever I was a companion of the Doctor's I think I would react like Martha - as in, I'd fall in love. Which is why I love Martha, we'd be great friends if she was real. She's a great character, and really beleivable.

Continuity-wise, which is the theme of my reviews and critiques today, again, very strong. The Face of Boe had his final Message, And Harold Saxon was mentioned all over the place, at first just as a name you shouldn't really recognize, but then Francine Jones is getting her information on the Doctor from him and you notice the name. In my opinion, a good blend of the series 1 and 2 foreshadowing, the obvious vs subtle. A good balance.

Series 3 had great build up to the final episodes. I'll explain...

The Doctor spent this entire series mourning Rose, and rightly so. And so he doesn't want to open up to Martha. It's hard for him. So we get Martha having to drag it out of him, he has to sit down and explain it to her: There was a war, and he's the last Time Lord left. Because it was such a chore for Martha, there's extra emphasis on the fact that yes, he is the last one. And he's extremely lonely because of it. Then there's the 2 episode arc with the Daleks, and the Time War has even more emphasis put on it.
The Lazarus Experiment introduces that technology that Harold Saxon uses on the Doctor later on, and also is the episode in which Francine hears about the Doctor from Saxon's people. The episodes Human Nature and the Family of Blood introduce the concept of the Time Lords becoming human, so that in Utopia, when we see Professor Yana's watch, we know what it means.
So when the final story arc comes along, it takes it's bits and pieces from the previous episodes and climaxes at an amazing finish. Unlike Torchwood, all the previous episodes look like they've been put there for a reason, and that reason is the final story arc. Whereas in Torchwood, it decided to mention past episodes, rather than draw on what was explained in them.
The final story is action-packed -- not fighting wise, this is Doctor Who, after all-- but plot-wise. Yet it's still understandable. And it has Captain Jack Harkness, so is therefore better than the other episodes.

Doctor Who Christmas Special #3:
First, doesn't the TARDIS travel in the time vortex? So why would the cruise ship Titanic be in the time vortex? Second, seriously, Doctor, you can just press a button and your ship repairs itself?! or maybe you were turning back time and getting out of the way? maybe that was it, that seems more plausible.

Anyways, onto the actual special: It was great. Kylie Minogue was gorgeous, I loved her hair. The story was good, the bad guy was creepy, the Doctor was uber-cool. I don't actually have a lot of critiquing to do, because I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Though I'll just ask, how come the bigot is the only one of the passengers who made it out? I mean, come on, as mean as this sounds - and I know the Doctor wouldn't want me talking like this - but it would have been so satisfying to see him dead. I can see why RTD would do this -- I understand, I do -- because all the others were so unselfish they sacrificed themselves, but it's just so sad. I liked the two *bigger* people, and Bannakaffalatta (thank you imdb.com for spelling). He was so cute. And he got engaged to Astrid :). They were awesome! and then they died.

Also, "Allons-y, Alonso!" For the Win. Always. that was the Best Line Ever. Man I miss Rose.

Aside: There wasn't alot of mention of Captain Jack Harkness from me today. I didn't have much to critique on him. His character works well in all the episodes he's in, whether they are Torchwood or Doctor Who. The only thing is, he doesn't always seem like the same person. He's different on Doctor Who from how he is on Torchwood. Which makes sense, because he isn't in charge anymore, and since he's free from his responsibility, he acts more carefree. But the way he shamelessly flirts on Doctor Who - or how he did in Utopia, I think there should be more of that on Torchwood. We got a little, in Greeks Bearing Gifts when he's talking to Mary, but otherwise, he's a darker character on Torchwood. And in comparing his character on Torchwood to his character in The Last of the Time Lords, when he's chained up, there are serious differences. Because after watching Torchwood, I would think his captivity would have sobered him up more, and rather than making jokes he'd brood or something.

*~FIN~*

~wow a 2350 word Critique... I wasn't expecting it to be this long.

That's all folks. Coming in Three Weeks: Torchwood, Series 2. And this is most definitely coming, because in three weeks I have final exams, meaning I'm going to be procrastinating even more! I can't wait.

And I just want to say, even though I'm critiquing, I love both these shows, and I love Russell T. Davies and all the other people who work on them. And I want to tell them Thanks! Even though they're never going to read this anyways...S

Mountains Never Existed.
I need to tell you about my theory of mountains...

I don't beleive in them.

AT ALL.

Or i didn't beleive in them .

Because when I saw Mount Ranier (which is about 90 miles from Seattle) I realized that Mountains do actually exist and that they are HUGE.

Being from the praries, I don't see alot of them. And even when I was in Scotland and Austria, I saw the mountains, and I was there, but it all seemed just a little surreal and fake to me.

So when i saw this AMAZINGLY ENORMOUS mountain in Seattle (bigger than anything I've seen) I finally accecpted that mountains are real. They do exist. And I want to climb it.

except for the fact that it's a not-so-dormant Volcano.

One day I'll actually climb a mountain and life will be good.

All this is a very good theory and it explains alot: but I've been to Banff. I don't know how I didn't beleive in Mountains when I've skiied on them! It doesn't make sense.

An Update on Life

I have successfully and completely watched Season 1 of Heroes twice since Christmas, when i got it. And I've just started watching it a third time with a couple more of my friends. I don't think this time I'll watch it so completely though. Just random episodes here and there. The Company Man and Five Years Gone I will demand to see with them. But my Heroes obsession has just grown so much in the past few months. I really can't stop fangirling. It's horrible. But I'm glad that I've exposed 4 of my friends into the Heroes fandom. They love it almost as much as I do. (but not as much, Never as much).

School wise: It started again. With Math and Stats, it's a huge feat that i don't drop dead of boredom. And With Thermalodynamics, it's a huge feat that I don't fail. And Computer Science is computer science. It's a nerd-fest. Especially since my Prof likes Heroes and has mentioned it several times. For that I forgive him for being a bit of a jerk. Because people are allowed to be a jerk just as long as they like Heroes.

We just finished assignment one, and that was a bitch. I got it done though. It was just annoying. Assignment two is due the same day as our Midterm, which wouldn't be that big of a problem if it wasn't for the fact that I have two midterms the two days prior. So My week looks like this:
Mon - Nothing Tues - Nothing Wed- Thermals Midterm (aka death)
Thurs - Stats Midterm Fri - Comp Sci Midterm and Assignment (aka second death)

So if i survive the Wednesday midterm, there's a good chance i'll die on friday. Either way, in two weeks, i'm dead. I wonder how much I'll procrastinate from doing all this stuff. Seeing as how i'm procrastinating from studying for my math midterm right now, I'm guessing it'll be alot. More than, if not par with, the usual, is my guess.

In other news, I just bought a new computer. A Dell. With Windows Vista. Which i haven't had any problems with in the setup. We'll see how everything else goes. But the laptop is so Pretty, that I'm willing to let the Operating System have problems and I'll still be happy with it. So Far So Good! I'm just going to have to wait until i upload all my old files, aka my music, and then see if there's any problems.

In other news in my life: if i didn't procrastinate enough, the Heroes Ability application on facebook has taken over my life. I'm constantly playing it or checking it because I want to level up so I can get radiation manipulation and kick EVERYBOBY's ass. But I need 90 ability points for that and so far i have 37. I'm almost halfway there. Wish me luck!

And I can't beleive how long I've been on livejournal, and that i've kept it up. I fully expected to be done with it by now. Maybe my use of livejournal is directly proportional to the amount of Heroes Fangirling I do. which is lots. And on that note, I must depart. A Night of Games with my friends awaits. Pictionary and Scrabble and (hopefully) Carcassone. Farewell, readers.

School's never really over, is it?

I hate the fact that i have to make a twenty minute presentation about being an engineer. Well i don't HAVE to write it. But if i want a 5000$ scholarship i do. And 5000$ would be nice. That's almost my entire year of school. But i can't bring myself to start. I finished my exams, right? That means no more school. And No more school means no more essays. So why am i writing one? ugh. I wish i didn't need the money.

And the essay: about Inspiration? How come all i think when i hear/read that word now is "You were more than a friend, you were my inspiration." I doubt engineers would appreciate an essay about Takezo Kensei from Heroes. It's actually quite sad the amount of time i spend fangirling. But it makes me happy. Oh god, I wish the writers strike would end and Heroes would come back.

Random list of countdowns:

7 days until x-mas

13 days until the New Year

15 days until school starts

31 days until the presentation/scholarship is due

43 days until my speeding ticket is due

53 days until Spring Break

63 days until February 19th

73 days until my birthday

104 days until school's out for summer!

Heroes post: Cautionary Tales

I thought that was awesome. I'm going to go through it step by step:

Claire: Thank you for finally talking to your dad. Even if you accused him (rightfully) you at least put everything out in the open. It makes you seem a lot less like a <strike>bitch</strike> spoiled brat.

West: Good job. I didn't like you before tonight. But this redeemed you. I'm glad you teamed up with Bennet.

HRG: WOW. I'm glad you didn't shoot Mohinder. because he is my favourite character. And it means you're a little more humane than you used to be. And again, like Claire, Thanks for telling Sandra what you're doing and why you're doing it.

Matt: Okay, you've had your fun. Stop commanding people to do what you want. I'm not mad at you. I'm actually happy you're developing your powers. But just use them for good now, because you are not your father!

Mohinder: There is no excuse for killing/mortally wounding Bennet. Even if he got better. No excuse. But you are still the prettiest one on the show so i'll forgive it.

Hiro: No complaints. No could be betters. Just, well done.

and Where were Peter and Nathan? I want them to have a reunion. It will be cute and awesome.

In general though, 4 1/2 stars out of 5. Well Done!

Frustration

It's frustrating how much time you can spend doing something you want to do. And how time literally flies when you're busy. Like today, when i was programming an assignment for comp sci, It took me over 5 hours, but the day just flew by. I didn't even notice the time until i had finished. But now, now i'm studying for an engineering exam and all i can do is watch the clock, hoping it starts moving faster than it had before, because even if i bomb this exam, well, hey, i wouldn't have to study for it anymore. And i'd be okay with that.

This is seriously the first time i've ever been okay with bombing a test. Ever. The first time i had EVER failed a test was last year and i cried. Becuase i was an eighteen year old girl who had never failed before. And now, i just don't care. I used to like being at school. I used to like all of it. And now i don't even like it when i'm just hanging out at school. i always wish i'm somewhere else.

Also, i wonder how long i'll last on lj. I'm prone to phases, and lately i've been needing somewhere where i can just write and make public, it doesn't even matter if anybody reads. It's kinda like Screaming at the top of your lungs when no ones around. So i think lj's good for me.

First One

Okay, so it's my first time on livejournal and the only reason i joined was because of the obsessive fangirling i've been doing over Heroes. Pretty much I just wanted to comment and read all the spoilers and have a name for my comments! Whoo hoo!
